Obama rallyLast Friday I was one of the lucky "hot ticket" holders able to attend the Obama event in Fargo, ND.  The tickets were quickly deemed "hot" due to the limited availability and the 90 degree heat endured while standing in line for one of the 1,000 available tickets. As I approached the Democratic headquarters last Tuesday to pick up my tickets I had no idea what sort of experience lay before me.  As I walked passed the headquarters, down the block, and around the corner to find my place in line, I quickly realized that much more of my day would be spent in line than I thought.  And it wasn't like I hadn't planned ahead; I arrived one hour early Obama Rallythinking that would guarantee a great spot at the front of the line. I stood in line for 2 ½ sweltering hours but these are the sorts of experiences memories are made of, right?

Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama spoke to a crowd of approximately 1,300 North Dakota veterans, their families and community members. On the eve of Independence Day his speech concentrated on issues facing veterans: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, the 21st Century GI Bill, and the war in Iraq.  Following his speech Obama fielded questions from the crowd; many which focused on issues of health care and education in the United States. The Senator's speech was greeted warmlyObama speaks to event attendees and with great enthusiasm from the crowd, illustrating how in step his views are with mainstream North Dakotans.

Planned Parenthood MN, ND, SD Action Fund announced our endorsement of Obama last month.
